About Me Professionally
My professional career began in 1996 as a studio photographer in the heartland of Missouri, it was great, I loved the detail of setting up the lights, designing sets, and the art of large format film photography, but I quickly found it didn't keep me busy enough. At the same company I started working with the creative group, designing marketing materials, packaging and trade show events. And yet that still wasn't enough busy work, so I then started working on the company's website, at first just laying out content, but quickly diving into development. So my first job out of school I held the title of Studio Photographer, but in fact I was also a designer and web developer.

After about almost 4 years doing this I pretty much decided that my passion was in web development. I took a new job in KC as the webmaster for a medical group (where I also did a lot of print creative work). That lead me to many jobs with startup .com companies (all of which were very exciting, until the bubble popped).
 
Since 2002 I've worked with or within marketing firms as an Integrator. So what is an Integrator? Well I guess its someone who can do alot of different things, but to put it simply, I take creative ideas and bring them to life on the web.

Freelance
Do I freelance? Yes I do, I love it. If you are in need of someone to help out with a website or web project I'm willing and able. My general rates are around 70 dollars an hour (sound like a lot? well you should see what I can get done in an hour). I often give flat fee estimates for smaller projects.
